Today we celebrate with the windows open! One of my favorite things is having a breeze blowing in through the windows so the curtains are blowing. There may be a tornado occurring inside the house, but when the curtains are blowing I feel the peace that surpasses all understanding.
When I open the windows and the breeze rushes in, all of a sudden I am filled with an energy to be in the kitchen. We spent last Friday picking 4 flats of strawberries and today is the day to make strawberry pie, strawberry freezer jam, and strawberry shortcake. These are the days I really feel like Caroline Ingalls! All I have to say is, "kids, what kind of day is it?" They know to reply, "A Little House day!" I feel the same peace when it rains. There is a calming in my soul. So strawberries here I come!
2nd Thessalonians 3:16 "Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you."
