So this morning I am praying and asking God to speak to me through his word. I asked for wisdom and that I would glorify the Lord through this passage. The devotional I am doing said to turn to proverbs 27:17, so I turn there and I read, " A man tormented by the guilt of murder will be a fugitive till death; let no one support him." WHAT???????
I sat in my chair saying to the Lord "I don't know how this pertains to me, I don't understand Lord!" I do believe all scripture is God breathed and I know this verse is important, but I was praying over this verse, and then I realized I was on Proverbs 28:17. So I started laughing to myself and turned to Proverbs 27:17, and it reads, "As iron sharpens iron so one man sharpens another." Thank you Lord for this verse because I am reminded how much we need each other. We all have gifts and we all need friendship. We need each other. God did not create us to be alone. So lets go into the world and sharpen each other with love, joy, peace , patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. We need to sharpen each other with wisdom. We are all in different places in life and sometimes we just need a listening ear.
So lets go out and sharpen each other like iron sharpens iron, and to the man that is tormented by the guilt of murder I pray you read Proverbs 28:17!
