A Surrendered Life

This morning in my prayer time I was praying for my kids. There are some qualities I see in them that I would LOVE to be worked on. I was asking the Lord, "How do you want me to express this to my kids without nagging them, (because I have done that and it does not work)! The Lord gently said, "Use my word!" Why is that the last thing I think of sometimes. So I sat down with this white board and wrote out the qualities I would love to see grow and found scripture to back it up! Okay Lord, you get ALL the glory, now work in these kiddos because where I am weak you are strong!" You see, my husband and my desire when we gave life to these kids was to raise them in an environment where we were sold out for Christ, but life is messy and hard and teachable. Fighting the Good Fight

These 3.... They are growing up quickly and I am thankful I have had the opportunity to be home building relationships with each of them. It has not always been the "social media" status. How can anyone really live in an unrealistic world where people put their best foot forward? Our lives have been messy sometimes, but we have spent their lives building memories! From traveling, beaches, movies, games, cooking, baking, teaching, training, staying home and doing absolutely nothing, and even arguing, (yes, we have all partaken in that), we have been together through thick and thin! We are not without trials! We have experienced joy, laughter, tears, and pain! Words have been said that later cause regret, anger has ensued, forgiveness has happened. We are a family! Never allow the enemy to take what is the Lords. Comparison is a trap that tells us we will never be enough. That is a flat out lie. Take Every thought Captive! ...
