As Easter is nearing I cant help but be reminded of Isaiah 53:4--6
"Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.  But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.  We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way, and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.  " Wow folks, as I ponder this I am convicted of the kind of love Christ has for us.  Not only is it sacrificial love, but also a love that we don't have to earn.  We don't have to be good enough because we cant be anyway.  We all fall short, but the good news is this isn't the end of the story.  3 days after the horrible death of Jesus, he rose!  He proved that he is the one true God.  He proved that grace is enough, he proved that if we have the faith of a mustard seed we could see the kingdom of God.  Sometimes depending on what we are going through it can be hard to have even the faith of a mustard seed, but just remember that God never said life would be easy, but he did promise to never leave us or forsake us.
